John Sell has devoted over 25 years to improving the performance of individuals and organizations in business, government, healthcare, and higher education settings. His experience includes leading the Dallas office of a national human capital consulting company, directing the delivery of leadership development, coaching, and consultation services for a highly successful privately held firm, and leading professional sales and implementation teams serving corporate clients.

Johnís diverse background includes leadership development, performance coaching, career re-focusing, employee engagement, and retention consulting. His work focuses on helping executives and business leaders face the challenges created by organizational growth, expected or unexpected business developments, expansion of roles, and other changes that stretch their performance capabilities. He has personally provided leadership development for numerous corporate officers and other executives in high tech, telecommunication, health care, financial services, aviation, manufacturing, and other businesses. He has coached Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Regional Senior Vice Presidents, and other leaders and managers. In addition, Dr. Sell created Leadership Development Coaching for Physicians, an intensive process of assessment, planning, and developmental coaching for medical professionals credited with developing the communication, partnership, and influence skills of practicing physicians and physician-leaders.

Earlier in his career, John served as a department head and faculty member at Southern Methodist University. He served as a member and Chair of the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists, is a published author and accomplished public speaker, and is recognized for his contributions to the career and professional development of senior business leaders. John brings a unique blend of solid business experience, academic involvement, and psychological training to the challenge of enhancing individual and organizational leadership and performance.

A graduate of the University of Minnesota, John received his masterís and doctoral degrees in psychology from the University of Missouri.
